I don't think there is anything at all to be ashamed of. I know what I like I and wouldn't apologize for it. I wouldn't presume to speak for everyone though. All I am suggesting is that it is possible that the negativity and hostility I've noticed when this issue so frequently arises could put off people who enjoy latter day Dead. I'm not trying to turn this into some kind of issue or argument though. I guess everyone has some kind of music that makes them want to vomit up blood.

personally, i can only withstand so much 68>71 with Jer repeating the same pentatonic scales over and over...

what i like about the 80's is the entire spectrum of their musical development is already in place and continues to be expanded upon

we all listen for different reasons

Yes thankyou

the era to era cock-measuring and bashing gets so old.
We get it already, (ten times over already) not your favorite era.

As previously mentioned there is not a large range of shows to pick from when it comes to DVD. If they had some of the early filmore runs locked away on video I would be upset too, but they don't.

Peace

Maybe Rhino can keep the ball rolling and release the 07/09/89 Monkees' Reunion Concert also.

Sugaree is played perfectly — I've mentioned this show many times

i assumed it was red wine. Cliffy likes to partake every now and again.

Not looking for an argument either, i was just surprised by the comment and I hope its not right. I think one of the things that happens here is that folks like WT and Cliff speak with such passion about the eras they like and there really hasn't been voice like that for the 80s or 90s. SDH, lobster and PatkelleyPA have in the past been good sources for info about shows from these eras but I don't ever recall here someone really match the passion that people seem to have for 68-81. Where is the post like the one Cliff made about '71 a few days back? I can't believe one like that would be met with a blood-puking response.
